Discoloration on the inner thighs is caused by the constant rubbing of the thighs against each other while walking or running, or because of the friction between your skin and your clothes.

This friction also causes skin abrasion, which can be quite painful besides being embarrassing on occasions like swimming. If a person is overweight or obese, the chances of chafing are greater.
So, it’s important to lose the extra weight in order to prevent constant chafing. Also, wearing tight clothes and especially tight undergarments should be avoided. It’s also preferable to wear cotton undergarments instead of synthetic ones.
Make sure you don’t wear wet clothes or underclothing, as that causes abrasion as well. Also, drink about 10 glasses of water every day, and have a balanced diet with enough green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits and vegetables.

These are beneficial for healthy skin. Vitamin E is an important nutrient for an even texture of the skin. You can get the required amount of Vitamin E from green leafy vegetables.

Just like the skin on any part of the body, the skin on inner thighs can also be restored to the original tone, or at least make a couple of shades lighter with home remedies.
Firstly, make it a habit to thoroughly clean and moisturize the area every day. This will prevent roughness and give your skin an even and smooth tone. You can also scrub your inner thighs with an apricot scrub to rejuvenate them.
One of the most effective ways to lighten the skin is rubbing lemon or applying fresh lemon juice on the dark areas. Let it stay for about 20 minutes and then wash it off.
Lemon has natural bleaching agents that effectively lighten skin. Another good remedy is mixing yogurt and lime juice and applying a thick layer of this on the affected areas.

Keep it on for about 20 minutes and then wash off with water and a mild herbal soap. You can mix oatmeal and yogurt and apply this on your skin.

You can also apply aloe vera gel or break Vitamin E capsules and apply it directly on the inner thighs. Leave it on overnight and wash it off the next morning. Please note that these remedies are only for external use.

You should also try to restrict your movement and relax in one place as much as possible when the area is sore. If these remedies do not help you, see a skin specialist or a doctor for more help.
