How to Get Smoky Eyes

12:39:00 PM

With the cold weather and dark nights around the corner, smoky eyes are in. This sexy look will keep you in style whether it is during the day or during the evening.

1.
Step 1
Draw a line with the eye-shadow brush along your upper and lower eyelashes.

Take an eye-shadow brush and dip it into water. Next you will want to light dap the brush into one of your eye-shadow colors, the darkest shade in your kit. Right at the base of your eyelashes where they meet your lid, you will want to draw a line, in the same manner as though you are putting on eyeliner.
2.
Step 2

To create a crease for a smoky effect blink. Do this before your eye-shadow dries. This will help you fill in the contouring shadow later on, for by blinking, the eye-shadow will form in the creases, making shading easier.
3.
Step 3

Use the lightest color in your eye-shadow kit to fill in the space above the crease on your lid. Also shade up to the brow line. This can be done by using your fingertip.
4.
Step 4

Next use the second lightest eye-shadow. With your fingertips rub this across the corners of your eyes. This will give the effect that your eyes are bigger than they appear.
5.
Step 5

Next use the darkest eye-shadow. Use a cotton swab and finger to dust the shadow on top of your layer of liner from step one. Blending with a finger will help create a darker effect.
6.
Step 6

Curl your eyelashes with the eyelash curler. Coat your eyelashes with mascara.
